Special features of the vehicle: The pick-up points of the Smart Fortwo are very close to each other.

1. For optimal door opening and ideal weight distribution, always drive in the car dead center between the columns.
2. Place the car so that the left and right rear-view mirrors are aligned with the column.
3. Position the carrying arms.
4. Roll up the pick-up pads so that they touch the vehicle. That will give you more stability.
5. Lift the vehicle up, stop once. Now check the gearing and that all arms kept their correct position under the car.
6. Lift the vehicle to the desired height.
